If you want to add depth to your site by pointing your visitors to
other resources they might enjoy, researching those, providing a good,
unique written description on your site that explains to your visitors
what they will find and why they might enjoy that, not a bad idea.
Beyond that, the best way to add depth to your site is through
original, captivating content, that provides an unavoidable reason for
other sites to want to link to you and for visitors to keep coming
back.
