Like me, you all probably think you usually get special service only
from special dedicated smaller outfits like Trevor Lees or Phillipe's
Tivoli Hi Fi. And that's often the case.

Posted it as inspiration to the OP to consider getting something made
locally as I did 7 years ago. I drew up a sketch based on one of the
models and took it to a kitchen cabinet maker at Enfield NSW (before
they import them from Hong Kong these days) - voila
The postage and packaging btw worked out at 4 times the cost of the unit

Thanks for that.... l think in fact that after some further research,
it's the only product of its type on the market at an affordable
price! The white units look less 'synthetic' than the timber veneers
so I'll go for them

I have 2 of these for my CDs and DVDs. The 1/2 way down shelf is
fixed. The top or bottom half can be configured for mixed CD or DVD
shelves. Up to 8 shelves of DVDs or 12 shelves of CDs in total. Each
little nook holds 15 CDs or 10 DVDs. Its obviously thought out quite
well and I wouldn't call it shoddy. For ~$75 its good value.

I reckon the Bravias seem to have the best picture out there. What is your
budget? Mabye look into LED as well.

I'm selling my beloved 12-year-old 68 cm Loewe Profil CRT as I fear
think it would cope too well with an interstate move and long time in
storage.
I'm planning to replace it with a 40 or 42 inch flat panel 1080 HD LCD
as some of the full-hd screens I've seen recently look pretty close to
CRT-quality.

Thanks for the info .. I'll seek out reviews for those models, though
right now I'm leaning towards the VPL HW15 -- if Sony ever get around
to launching it on this market! If it's better than my VPL HW10 it
must be outstanding!
